Introduction

Salient Accounting & Finance, based in the UK with a team of approximately 40 people, was operating on a fragmented and insecure IT setup. Workstations were inconsistently configured, security policies were lacking, and sensitive financial data was at risk. The environment had grown organically, with no clear management or standardization.

Outcome

We transitioned the firm to a secure, fully managed workstation environment. All devices were standardized, centrally managed, and protected by modern security controls. The firm gained compliance readiness, improved performance, and peace of mind knowing their data and systems were properly secured.

What we did

We started with a full IT audit, identifying vulnerabilities, outdated systems, and inconsistencies across devices. From there, we designed a modern workplace architecture based on managed endpoints.

We deployed standardized workstations with endpoint management (MDM/EMM), enabling centralized control over updates, policies, and security configurations. Multi factor authentication (MFA) and identity management were implemented to secure access to critical systems.

We also introduced next generation firewalls, endpoint protection, and encrypted backups to safeguard sensitive financial data. Legacy systems were phased out, and cloud based tools were integrated where appropriate to improve collaboration and accessibility.
